Actuary:

1. Bachelor’s degree. Five years of Defined Benefit (DB) pension plan experience, and meets one of the following requirements:

  • FSA with five years of DB pension plan experience, a minimum of two years obtained after receiving the later of the FSA or EA designations; or

  • ASA with five years of DB pension plan experience, a minimum of four years obtained after receiving the later of the ASA or EA designations; or

  • EA with five years of DB pension plan experience, a minimum of four years obtained after receiving the EA designation. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline

  • 2. Advanced level skill-set in MS Excel and VBA coding
    3. Hands-on programming experience – demonstrated experience with MS SQL, and any structured programming language preferably in C++
    4. Strong analytic sense to identify/debug modeling software
    5. Knowledge on modeling software will be a plus, but not a MUST

    Computer Systems Analyst:

    We seek Senior Level Software Engineers for new and existing projects. Must be able to work independently, as well as, part of a team. Hands on development experience with client/server applications, web enabled applications and multi-tier database development is required; Visual development environment experience a must. Knowledge of Delphi is required; Pension Administration software a plus. Please: Applicants only; recruiters need not apply.



    Web Developer:

    Transfer software product into web applications. Design and develop the website by using ASP, VBScript, SQL, Delphi, HTML, Javascript, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, and follow 508 compliant standards. Masters degree in Information Systems a plus.



    Senior Analyst:

    Qualification:

    Eight years of experience in actuarial related systems development. At least five of these years involve primary technical responsibility for systems design and development. Experience should include demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams and provide technical leadership to more junior staff; must have demonstrated experience with MS SQL, C#/C++ programming (preferably in unmanaged environment) experience in the development of web-based systems utilizing products/languages such as Visual Basic, .Net, and Crystal Reports. The candidate must have demonstrated government or commercial contract experience utilizing state-of-the-art technologies or specialized skills in support of IT system development efforts.

    Must Be:

    - Proficient in C++
    - Knows how to compute present values (or worked in insurance or financial sector with hands on programming knowledge in financial modeling).
    - Has a strong mathematics background (not just an IT guy that knows C++)
    - Worked in Agile environment, strong communication skills (can run with verbal instructions instead of everything mapped into detailed specifications)

    Job Description:

    - Responsible for maintaining the functionality, efficiency, security and integrity of the modeling products
    - Serves as lead on computer related tasks
    - Gathers, analyzes and synthesizes information
    - Prepares technical specifications for programming modifications
    - Oversees and performs complex analysis, design, development, programming, testing and implementation of modifications to products
    - Makes programming changes and tests those changes at the direction of the Actuaries

    Analyst Programmer

    Qualification:

    Five years of programming experience including minimum one year of actuarial programming experience. This experience shall include developing and testing programs in at least one or more of the following languages: Visual Basic, .Net, C#/C++ and experience with MS SQL.
